Thinking fast and slow

I decided to read this book after a conversation with a coworker in the train. He explain to me his vision of how machine should solve problem and made me realised that i underestimated the level of understanding we have on how our brain work so i decided to educated myself.

Disclaimer

After talking about this book to my coworker he ade me a very important remark, Daniel Kahneman is a psychologist and an economist, his knowledge and point of view may be influence by his economist experiences.

Subject

In this book Daniel Kahneman explain to us different stuff about how our brain work, how me make decision and the biases that we may encounter. During all the book he vulgarise his argument with small experiment and citation from his study in a way it’s easy to understant for newbies.

What did i keep from reading it ?

First of all, his 2 system is a really useful well to see how the brain work, even more for an IT guys interested in machine learning.

He also talk about biases and heuristics and also talk about the “expert bias”. All his explaination about how we make decision and on how knowing our subject may still lead us to wrong conclusion was very useful to have an healthier way to work to still be critical, about my judgement but also other people judgement.

Read It !

I didn’t ended this book, at the end he is focusing on economist stuff and i found it boring so i’m not really motivated but all the first 3/4 of the book was really easy to read and interesting.

[I may update after the end of my reading]
